Industrial Chargers
Conventional Charger
For applications where a battery is used only during a single shift. These chargers when properly matched to the battery will recharge a depleted battery in 8 hours. For maximum battery life the cycle is 8 hours for charging, 8 hours for battery to cool down, and 8 hours of operating time.
High Frequency Charger
These chargers lower the cost to operate since power factor ratings are extremely high. Power factor is the percentage of power supplied by the utility that is actually used by the charger. High Frequency Chargers are more efficient than a Conventional Charger due to a low ripple current, resulting in lower on-charge battery temperatures. The battery will last longer and require less watering.
Opportunity/Fast Charger
For applications that want to run a single battery for two shifts, Opportunity Chargers require approximately 4 hours recharge time, over 16 hours. Fast Chargers are recommended for applications with less than 4 hours recharge time. These chargers eliminate the need for spare batteries and battery handling/storage equipment.
